Other problems should wait until normal surgery hours when patient's records are available. All advice, education or other treatment given by the emergency doctor, will be notified to us in due course, so we can update your records accordingly.

Severe central chest pain lasting more than 10-15 minutes. All patients that might have experienced a heart attack (Myocardial Infaction) require urgent transfer to hospital. The treatment now involves either immediate angioplasty and stenting of the blocked coronary artery or the infusion of drugs to clear the arterial occlusion. This should ideally take place within 4 hours of the onset of chest pain, severe breathlessness, unconcious or semi-concious significant trauma.
