Sidmouth Hospiscare
Sidmouth Hospiscare is a local Registered Charity which was formed in 1984. It provides high quality care and support to people suffering a debilitating and/or life limiting illness. This support is extended to their carers, family and friends.
Sidmouth Hospiscare is a charity which has been funded by the local community for many years. The service is provided free of charge to anybody residing in the Sidmouth locality. It is with the valued support of the local community that we are able to offer this service. Although we work alongside our sister organisation,
Hospiscare in Exeter, we are an independent charity with our own Trustees and funding. In 1987 Sidmouth Hospiscare was left a property in All Saints Road by Miss Keel. The proceeds of the sale enabled the purchase in 1998 of 5 May Terrace, now known as Keel House (right) which provides a base for the nurses, the secretary’s office, a meeting room and one bedroom for relatives of patients (offered at the discretion of the nurses).
