Nurses

Our highly qualified nurse team are available to offer care and support for a range of conditions. Patients with ongoing conditions such as diabetes, coronary heart disease and respiratory disease are reviewed by the nursing team. Patients are requested to make an appointment to see a nurse, but nurses are always available in the treatment room to provide advice or care to patients presenting with an urgent matter.

Routine care provided in the treatment room includes dressings, removal of sutures, ear syringing and injections.

Our Health Care Assistants are important members of the practice team who work under the supervision of a qualified nurse. They can take blood, check blood pressure, test urine, and undertake simple dressings. They assist the nurses in their clinics performing ECG’s and spirometry, and assist the doctors with minor surgery and perform patient tests in INR* clinics for anti-coagulation monitoring.
