Sidmouth Community Rehabilitation Service
This service is based in The Sidmouth Hospital. It is an excellent example of a smoothly run multi-diciplinary health care team which aims to maintain patients in the community and thereby prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. The team is led by Del Cathery with other members of the team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language specialist and community nurses.
The services include:
Acute assessment and rehabilitation.
Falls assessment.
Cardiac Support post CABG (By-pass).
Post Stroke Support.
24 hour tapes for un-explained collapses.
Speech and Language assessment.
Physiotherapy.
Occupational therapy.
